If you visit LA in the summer time, you should definitely check the schedule for all the events at Hollywood Bowl. They have exciting events all summer long between June to September. Tickets usually go from as cheap as $5 to $100 (and more). I recommend purchasing tickets early and plan your summer in advance :)
This is a great place for summer entertainment since it's outdoor, inexpensive, and very lively :) It is highly recommended to do a picnic either before hand or at your seats during the beginning of the event... while the sun is still out. So, pack your delicious foods & drinks in your cooler and head out! (Many people bring wine, beer, or any of your favorite liquid refreshments!) And enjoy yourself with the rest of the crowd!
We saw The Flaming Lips, Thievery Corporation, and Os Mutantes here on Sunday! We were pretty far away from the stage, but it was great fun!! All 3 bands were cool. I've always liked Thievery Corporation and The Flaming Lips, so I was very happy that I got to see them live! I also liked how Os Mutantes sounded as well. I liked how the singer (Wayne Coyne) of The Flaming Lips started the show while singing and walking on the stage in a huge plastic balloon. :D Then, they released bunch of white balloons to the audience! And some of the balloons traveled all the way up to where we were!! That was so neat :)
