LA WEEKLY DETOUR was a blast!!
There were more bands and DJs we originally wanted to check out.. :) But, we got around to see BLONDE REDHEAD which was awesome, REDD KROSS (Amazing!!!!), then got more beer to walk over to catch Weird Science, The Elected, and Nortec Collective before Beck started... Pretty crazy plan ;-)
But instead, we ended up walking into this narrow street and saw some art installations and DJ booths which were really cool... so we took some pictures and checked out the art...then overheard Basement Jaxx from somewhere... So I decided to started walking towards that.
There were too many people and impossible to get towards the stage... (They sounded awesome though... and would like to check them out some place smaller.) So, we decided to head back to check out Peeping Tom with Mike Patton and to get more beer. I was pretty hungry... and drinking, so I was feeling preettty good :)
After some Peeping Tom, we headed back to the other stage to check out BECK. It was little too crazy there... and couldn't really see anything. People were pushing each other and almost got in fights. Crazy! So, we left the crowd... thought about checking Queens of the Stone Age... But instead, we decided to walk over to Little Tokyo and get some delicious Ramen at DAIKOKUYA! This place was packed!!
The ramen was yummy... especially after drinking!
The highlight of the night was definitely seeing REDD KROSS again. They are amazing and entertaining to watch live!!
It was a fun weekend :)
