I really like one of her songs "A Song for Kids" when I caught it on KCRW and have been wondering who the artist was :) She'll be playing at the Troubadour on Friday night at 10pm! It would be cool to check her out.
Miho Hatori is one of the band members of Cibo Matto, and also collaborated with Gorillaz, Beastie Boys, Handsome Boy Modeling School... For the first time, she has self-produced her solo album "Ecdysis" — a refreshingly playful mix of lush instrumentation, melodic, jazz-fusion, soft beats, sounds from the animal kingdom, and loungy arrangements.
