Cast & Crew only screening for Permanent Vacation (aka. What We Did On Our Holidays) was premiered at Fina Arts Theater on Tuesday night, April 10th 2007.
Permanent Vacation is based on one of the UK Best Selling Novel "What We Did On Our Holidays" written by Geoff Nicholson. It is a very interesting weird and twisted movie, and W. Scott Peake's first film that he directed.
Since I worked on the movie poster and postcard design, I watched this film (not a final version) about 3 to 4 times to get a grasp on what the movie is all about. And the movie is growing on me more and more each time I watch it and end up discovering more details and things I didn't catch before.
The screening was awesome, and seeing the film on a big screen definitely made a huge difference. We've known about his movie for a while now, so it's very exciting :)
I will be posting some photos of the event later on when I get hold of their event pictures!
Here is little blurb I copied from imdb about the film:
In this outlandish black comedy, Eric (Frank Harper), a mild mannered man, takes his wife (Gina Bellman) and his children (Jonathan Bailey and Phoebe Thomas)on what he believes will be a final happy holiday before his kids leave the nest. Instead of a peaceful holiday, Eric is thrust into a world of sexual decadence, headless corpses, sadistic policemen (Michael Bowen), and one wise old man (David Carradine).
