Abandoned Railroads

The site isn't pretty... but all the information and pictures provided on this website is very fascinating to check out.

Since I'm from Japan, and I grew up riding trains all over... Living in LA, I always thought that it is very inconvenient to have to drive everywhere when we want to travel to places efficiently. And this is Los Angeles!

Driving around the city, my husband always points out where railroads used to run back in the days... And I'm always amazed to realize that this type of transportation existed long long time ago... and wonder what happened.

There is always a lot of traffic on the freeway... and pretty much every single adult owns a personal vehicle here. I imagine what would have been like if they kept up with all these railroads... and public transportation.

I love this site. So cool, and yes, I have been fascinated with choo-choo's since I was a kid. It's fascinating to see all the cool vintage pics of the long, lost railroads of Southern California and around the U.S.
