I read about this portable water proof solar powered "Thin-Film" product called "Power Pockets" by Reware in BPM magazine. This flexible sheet can be folded to compact wallet size, and you can lay it out outside and carry everywhere with you to charge cell phone, digital camera, and more!

So, I checked out rewarestore website and ended up finding more products. These are pretty neat. If you are outside a lot, you can efficiently charge many things with your back pack or beach tote :) These bags can charge your laptop, mp3 player, cell phone... That's pretty cool!

That's cool! Do they sell a small one that I could charge my Apple Shuffle while I run outside? Do you know if it's rain-proof? Portland, ya know?

I didn't see smaller one on their website, but that would actually be very cool item!!

Something small that can strap around your wrist to charge. I can totally see that as small sporty accessory!

Another thing I was thinking would be cool is.... a small solar power pocket cover just enough to fit iPod or cell phone. Then, all you need to do is to slip in what you want to charge and place it under the sun!

I like this product a lot too...and I love both of your ideas...slightly smaller and sporty products. But, I'm wondering if the panels are too small, it doesn't generate enough power. I'm sure in time, these smaller solar items will be produced. VERY COOL!

I know... I thought about that too. Maybe in time, like you said :)
