Tokyo Motor Show 2007

One of our plans was to go to Tokyo Motor Show while we were in Japan this time. Paul wanted to go there twice if we could, but I think one day was plenty. One of the cars we were both interested in checking out was Suzuki X-head (pic middle) since it is like a small mini-truck Paul has been dreaming about. But, it was way too tiny in person. The truck only holds 2 passengers and 2 kid's size motor cycles.

Our most favorite car at this motor show was Nissan's concept car called "Pivo2". There is a R2D2 like robot inside the car. He talks to you while you're driving, lets you know the local area info, and even senses your mood by scanning your facial emotion to make sure you're happy. The upper body of the car rotates 360ยบ, the tire moves around as well. With this car, you will never have to do parallel parking again.

Another car I was excited checking was Honda's concept car called "Puyo". The name comes from the body surface of the car since the body actually is "Puyo-Puyo" (meaning Soft and Squishy in Japanese) like skin. Very cute and unique material for a car!

Toyota had some interesting concept cars as well. There was a wheel chair like vehicle only for a single person. They were trying to be cool about showing the possibilities with the vehicle, but I wasn't really sure how environmentally friendly this vehicle could be... when they are encouraging people to ride this vehicle instead of walking or riding bicycle.

And of course, there was a Nissan Skyline GT-R Paul was super excited about checking out :)

Ooooooh! Perry would've been so jealous to see all those concept cars... and, well, maybe just a wee bit envious of Paul for getting to drool in person over the Skyline GT-R. Such a nice car!
