My recent cool discovery... a Japanese-born DJ, Towa Tei. I kept looking him up every time his song played on my LastFm radio :) I recognized some of his songs, but what surprised me was that he was Japanese. Well, he is Korean but grew up in Japan to be exact :)
He is from the post-80's NY house music trio "Deee-Lite" and has worked with many cool musicians including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Bebel Gilberto, Chara, etc... He is an interesting character.
