UT = UNIQLO T-shirts
UNIQLO has recently launched a new series of UT T-shirts in collaboration with the Japanese manga magazine "Shonen Sunday" for their 50th anniversary. I especially like Shonen Sunday's older manga like Tiger Mask, Golgo 13, Kitaro, and Ashita No Jo (the boxing one)! Some of the shirts are super cool!! They will be releasing new T-shirts each month until the end of this year, and some of these shirts will be available at our online Z-Grade store sometime in August... or maybe earlier!

UT has been doing many collaborations with different artists and designers, and they also just finished the 2008 T-shirt contest called UT Grand Prix 08. The contest started last year in October. It started from 1000 designs and finished with 29 finalists. The animation on the left shows the shirt design finalists from the UT Grand Prix! Really cool. And these T-shirts are also available now as well.

UT just opened a store in Harajuku... maybe about a year ago.
The store concept is a futuristic-style convenience store for T-shirts. Each T-shirt is packaged in a bottle as if selling a drink from a vending machine. Looks pretty neat. Definitely fresh! I love the floor with the comic book print artwork as well.

I must go here next time I visit Japan!!

Hey, didn't UniQlo open a store in New York recently? Do you know if they have plans to open here in LA?
Shonen Sunday...natsukashii~~
I used to read that every week along with Shonen Magazine, Shonen Jump and Shonen King. I used to have the entire (tankohbon)set for Ashita no Joe and Kyojin no hoshi. Shonen King had the Wild 7, Jump had Harenchi Gakuen and Ashura. Ashura created a lot of controversy then because that was the first manga that showed cannibalism. I am really interested to see what prints are going to be available from UniQlo. Sally, keep us posted!!

Uniqlo opened in New York too :) Paul and I are going to NY soon, so we're thinking about checking their store!

I'll keep an eye out for the UT t-shirts under those titles you mentioned! So far, I know that they printed some for Ashita no Joe and Kyojin no Hoshi. But, the design was not that great... so I'm hoping that they'll print different version with different design soon.
